Shores House is probably the most luxurious house available to rent in Rock. We have not seen a larger property with a village-centre setting that is more spacious or private. You’ll find a combination of complete comfort, access to a stunning selection of rare wines and a classic elegance that you will not find elsewhere in Cornwall, but being a new house, it is fully equipped with the most up-to-date facilities.

Everywhere, our guests’ pleasure is paramount. We have filled Shores House with fresh flowers, antiques, comfy sofas and sensuous cotton linen. Every room has separately-controlled underfloor heating, and the bathrooms are connected to a system that gives gallons of instant mains pressure hot water.

Shores House sleeps 12 people with four double bedrooms (two en-suite), and two twin-bedded rooms so the house could easily accommodate three families in luxury. The living room is very large, with a 42” flatscreen TV and surroundsound audio. A spectacular dining room has handmade floor-to-ceiling panelling and plasterwork. Upstairs, there is also a small study/library with a free-use telephone and permanent broadband connection and he master bedroom and master guest bedroom also have flatscreen TVs.

Shores House has access to a selection of very fine and rare wines from some of the greatest vintages of the last half-century. All of them are available for you to try, but you are also welcome to bring your own alcohol.

The house is off a quiet residential road, set in its own private gardens just a few minutes walk from the shops in the village centre, and a 12 minute stroll through woods and fields to Porthilly Cove.
